Emily Stevens Hardin was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1976. She attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama where she graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Professional Writing. She went onto receive her Juris Doctorate from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in May 2001.
Emily has 23 years of experience in general civil litigation, including insurance defense, premise liability defense, workers’ compensation defense, and maritime law involving personal injury/death litigation, cargo claims, maritime contract disputes, and passenger vessel defense and regulatory issues. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, Louisiana federal district courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Emily has been married to her husband, Harry, for over 20 years and together they are the parents of two sons and a daughter. Outside of the practice of law, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering for her church parish, reading, cooking and gardening. She can usually be found on the weekends either watching her sons play lacrosse or attending cheerleading events with her daughter.
