Chris Hebert practices in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on general liability matters including maritime, Jones Act, Longshoreman, worker’s compensation, premises and products liability, law enforcement and transportation claims. He has litigated and tried cases throughout South Louisiana in both state and federal courts. Chris prides himself on his thorough preparation on all matters, whether he is representing a Fortune 500 Company or a small oilfield company in Acadiana. In addition to litigation, Chris also counsels small businesses on contractual matters, including indemnification and insurance related issues.
Born in Breaux Bridge, Mr. Hebert is a lifelong resident of Louisiana. He received his Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School in 1990,cum laude, where he served as one of the editors of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. In 1987, he graduated from Louisiana State University summa cum laude, and received a B.S. in Commercial Banking.
He is admitted to practice in all of the various civil and appellate courts in Louisiana as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and all U.S. District Courts in Louisiana. He is a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and holds memberships in the Lafayette Parish and Louisiana State Bar Associations.
