Carter Sayers is a native of Auburn, Alabama, and earned his law degree from LSU in 2019. During law school, Carter was proud to represent asylum seekers in legal proceedings via LSU’s Immigration Law Clinic. In recognition of their work, Carter and his colleagues at the clinic were honored with the Atlas Foundation’s Human Rights Award in 2018.
Since becoming a member of the bar, Carter has represented a broad range of clients in the maritime and offshore transportation industries, including shipowners, energy companies and marine underwriters throughout the Gulf Coast region and beyond. Carter’s litigation and transactional experience also includes matters involving labor and employment, contract drafting and negotiation, as well as confirmation proceedings under the New York convention.
Carter is the proud father of one and, among other things, is passionate about Auburn Tigers athletics, all things barbecue, and kayak fishing across the coast.
